Lead Nurturing
Helping potential customers progress through learning and evaluation over time.
Lead nurturing provides relevant information and assistance as a prospect moves toward a decision. For SaaS, it can combine educational email, useful product examples, implementation answers, and appropriately timed human follow-up. The aim is to respond to the buyer’s needs rather than repeatedly ask for a purchase.
Example: A prospect considering reporting software worries about replacing existing spreadsheets. The SaaS shares an import walkthrough, an example transition plan, and an offer to discuss the current workflow. Those messages address the obstacle that is preventing evaluation rather than sending three identical “book a demo” reminders.
Watch out: Nurturing should respect interest, consent, and timing. A downloaded resource does not establish readiness for a sales conversation. Segment by actual problem and behavior, stop or change messages after purchase, and give people a clear way to leave. Measure qualified progression and useful responses, not merely the number of automated messages sent. A small, relevant sequence can be more helpful than a long generic drip campaign.
